After our visit to Holbrook Elementary, our tour continued at Dickinson East.

I was surprised to learn that the class sizes here are 15 students per teacher. The rural school I went to struggled to keep class sizes under 30.

  2. im in ms.peters class and im melisa and just so u know its the best school ever. they provide you with enough education for the future. also ive been there since 1st grade and all my grades are going up because of that school.

  3. mellisa i just want to say it does give you great education but my teach hardly teaches her kids so we have to kinda teach our selves sometimes

  4. Hello my name is Kristian Shkambi, I went to Dickinson East Elementary, attended from 1995 to 1997, left during third. Do you guys have the 1996-97 year book you could sell to me.

  5. I went to Dickinson East from Kindergarten to the beginning of 3rd grade (1992-1995) and then switched to West, since we moved to another part of Hamtramck. I liked both schools. I learned to read, write, multiply, and divide at these schools.

    I remember we once did a play for Christmas on that auditorium in the above picture. I went to Hamtramck schools from 1992-2005 (K-12) and turned out just fine. Almost done with my senior year at U of M–AA.

  11. hanley is extremely overrated because i think it’s an overall nice school to go to but you guys are acting like its the only one!c’mon guys there’s bridge academy that’s a nice school with a nice environment too and i don’t even go there!look guy’s,all i’m trying to say with no disrespect is HANLEY IS OVERRATED!

  14. these pictures bring back soooo many memories, but wow it looks so small, compared to how big it seemed when i was much younger. i went there from second grade up to 5th, ah those were the good old days, great school ! does anyone know where the yearbooks can be purchased? thank you !
