  1. Hamtramck graffiti isn’t nearly as sophisticated. Here in town it’s more anarchist stencils and pre-graffiti.

I think I’ve photographed most of it.

  2. mark-
have you heard of paintcans and politics?
    http://www.paintcansandpolitics.com/

it’s a local documentary about graffiti directed by tony smith of technologyandmusic.com (they have an incredible interactive map of downtown detroit on their web site)

i’ve got a rough cut of the film around here somewhere, but until then you’d probably enjoy the trailers and clips on the web site.

  3. has anyone seen that RICHARD FAB stencil?…amd i disagree the hamtramck graffiti scene is alot more advanced than just stencils.

  4. u just gotta open up ur eyes cuz u just dont know real graffiti when u see it, just look around the city.

  5. Nice attitude. If you’re talking about tags on open businesses or the fake-gang graf, you’re on your own.

  6. The only graffiti in Hamtramck isn’t worth looking at and is pure littering of the city.

There’s no real thread on this but what is a “Trackback” that’s listed next to comments?

  7. Trackbacks are links other bloggers can use when referring to our stories. I’ve just turned them off because I don’t think anybody will use them.

  8. there isnt lots of graffiti in town but u got to look in the right place to see hamtramck graffiti.

  9. i agree with freddy look in the sky there is a dude named zero he use to roll with the 251 crew he use to bomb over by the market and in hamtramck all of his stuff is covered up but he has one in detroit on a overpass by crown maket
