What !! Eric Tungate, the one behind all those failed projects, lofts on Joseph Campau, Aldi in Shoppers World.. He has been proven to be a failure as economic development director…Why are they bringing him back now? Was he fired by Detroit?
I heard that he was let go from two different jobs since his time here, MEDC and DEGC. They must be going through a list of out-of-work cronies, looking for people who will reappoint Allen Brothers.
If two city managers think Allen brothers are not best for the city. Why does the council want to keep them?
Do Allen Brothers have some dirt dug up on the mayor and the council?
This city and its leaders are a joke and an embarrassment. Why do we always elect people with no history of leadership? Unless you count scheduling barmaids and ordering beer. The current and past union leaders have run circles around these people for years and its them and only them that will get this city out of this mess..Again! This current council allows millions of dollars to be paid to attorneys yet cant figure out a way to pay its employees. Even better, Jankowski wants to appoint one of these million dollar men to city manager. Last one out don’t worry about turning out the lights because Detroit will own them.
Cathie replied to the clerk’s meeting notification list with the following:
Maybe there’s hope for us yet.
Thank you! A little hope goes a long way with this city’s government.
I missed Erik’s last job. He was working for Ficano in Wayne County until January.

Really? Appoint Eric Tungate as City Manager? You have got to be kidding me! When he worked for the city before he was nothing more than a glorified cruise director whose answer for every problem was to spend money. He was to good to assist the small businesses. He had absolutely no visibility in the community, shut his phone off at 5:00 and left the city. All you have to do is look at his self serving history and realize he’s a puppet for certain people.
